The exhibition unites two seminal bodies of work by the influential American Jewish photographer: a series of four portrait murals inspired by the revolutionary atmosphere of the 1960s and early 1970s, and a series of 69 portraits entitledThe Family, originally published inRolling Stonemagazine on the eve of the 1976 election.

Fred Astaire’s character is based on Avedon, and the photographer himself was involved in the film production. . The Museum will be open and time permitting, you may visit other exhibits before the movie where light refreshments will be provided. You may want to bring a sweater since the theatre can be cold.
