Revolution, Cosmic Desire & Poetry

An Afternoon with Poet and Playwright Rochelle Owens

Friday, November 3rd at 2PM

Poetry scholar and critic Marjorie Perloff calls Rochelle’s new poem Hermaphropoetics, Drifting Geometries riveting, “a bravura performance by one of our most original and daring poets. Rochelle Owens shows herself once again to be our mythographer par excellence, the inventor of the rich and strange”.

Rochelle will read from her new poem and also share her personal journey with us. There will be plenty of time for discussion & questions.

We think the Atheneum will be a lovely setting for us to get to know our famous and fascinating neighbor. There will also be a book sale and signing.

This program is free for Penn’s Village members and volunteers.  Other guests are welcome to attend three programs before joining and/or volunteering.  A $5 donation to Penn’s Village from guests will be most appreciated.

The Atheneum is located at 219 South 6th Street.  The handicapped entrance is accessed through the garden at the rear of the building.  Enter the garden on St. James Street.  There is an intercom to contact the receptionist at the top of the ramp.

Please RSVP to info@pennsvillage.org or 215 – 925 – 7333
