Rescheduled: What To Do About New Medical Symptoms
The universe of medical advisors is expanding daily with a dizzying array of choices.
When we experience new symptoms, whether pain, cough, fever, or others, it’s often hard to decide what to do. Call your primary care doctor? Search WebMD? Go to Urgent Care? Order chicken soup?
Our speakers, health care professionals with expertise in gerontology, will help us think through the decision-making process.
Dr. Mary Ann Forciea
is retired Clinical Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, she served as Medical Director for the In-Home Primary Care Program in Geriatric Medicine and Director of the Geriatric Education Center of Greater Philadelphia, and was a recipient of the ‘Clinician of the Year’ award from the American Geriatrics Society.
Mr. Williams Edwards
has a Master of Science in Nursing and is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. He was a Lead Nurse Practitioner at the Ralston Outpatient Geriatric Practice prior to his retirement.
