About this event

Part 2

Although the two sessions are meant to go together, you can enjoy each session separately as well

September 24th, 2025

2 - 3:30pm

McColl Room

First Presbyterian Church

201 S. 21st St.

PART 2 of the Series

For most people, the work of prosecutors remains a mystery. In order to adequately review the content of this program, it will be divided into two parts. This second session will shed light on how a prosecutor thinks: how cases are evaluated, whether they should be pursued, how defendants are selected, what charges are presented to a grand jury, and other key tactical decisions. Questions are welcome throughout.

About the Presenter
Howard Weiner is a retired career prosecutor who served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney with the Department of Justice. Over the course of his career, he handled many types of cases and numerous trials. He has lectured to fellow prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and law students, and has also spoken at senior centers and business forums on how to avoid becoming a victim of fraud and cybercrime.
