The Tour will be led by Greta Greenberger, the former Tour guide director for City Hall Tours for 25 yrs. Greta will design our tour to include the gorgeous interior Council chambers, including the Mayor’s office and Dining Room. The rooms shown will depend on the Mayor’s schedule that day. We will also be learning about the equally incredible outside of the building. The Tower will not be included in this tour. Greta’s vast knowledge about the history of the building will make our time together memorable.
A second Tour may be considered, if we quickly sell out. Greta is acting as our liaison with the Visitors Center, who now books the City Hall Tours. At the end of the Tour, anyone interested can gather at McCormick and Schmick for an optional Happy Hour. A perfect setting to compare notes on what we learned about this iconic Philadelphia landmark.
Price of the Tour will be $20 with no refunds; no-show payments will be donated to Penn's Village general fund.
Registration closes on May 12th, 2025. Space is limited to 15 people.
Greta Greenberger, a former Art teacher, was recruited, by former Mayor Ed Rendell to become the Tour Guide Director for Philadelphia’s City Hall Tours. After 25 years of leading visitor and school groups, Greta retired, much to the regret of the many City Institutions she served. She and her husband have recently moved from Mt. Airy to The Philadelphian.
