We will be watching Molière, a 2007 French period biographical comedy with Director Laurent Tirard, starring Romain Duris, Fabrice Luchini, Laura Morante, and Ludivine Sagnier It is 120 minutes and is in French with English subtitles.
To satisfy his creditors, Molière reinvents himself as a satirical playwright with comedic, yet bittersweet consequences. The plot of Molière is loosely based on some of his plays, The Bourgeois Gentilhomme, Tartuffe, Le Misanthrope and Les Fourberies de Scapin. There will be a discussion following the film.
