You can help older adults in central Philadelphia living in their own home connect, engage and thrive by giving in several ways:

Help support and sustain Penn's Village programs and services through unrestricted donations, and contribute to the well-being of the entire community.

General Fund

Support a neighbor who would have difficulty paying Villager membership dues through the Margaret Armstrong Robb Fund.

Robb Subsidy Fund

Make a sustainable contribution to Penn's Village by donating to the David Lewis and Karen Orman Endowment Fund, named in honor and recognition of Dave and Karen’s support for Penn’s Village. The Endowment provides a source of stable, predictable future funding by building assets to ensure our future sustainability.

Other ways to give:

Direct your United Way gifts to Penn's Village through the donor choice program by selecting Penn’s Village, ID number 52959.

If you are age 70½ or older, you may support Penn’s Village through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA. A QCD must be transferred directly from your IRA custodian to Penn’s Village. The distribution may be excluded from your taxable income and may count toward all or part of your required minimum distribution. Please consult your financial or tax adviser to determine whether a QCD is appropriate for you.

Support Penn’s Village by recommending a grant from your donor-advised fund (DAF). A DAF allows you to contribute charitable assets, potentially receive a tax deduction at the time of that contribution, and recommend grants to eligible nonprofit organizations over time. Donors with accounts at Fidelity Charitable, DAFgiving360 (formerly Schwab Charitable), or BNY Mellon may use DAF Direct to recommend a grant to Penn’s Village.

Penn's Village is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization. A copy of Penn's Village official registration and financial information may be obtained from the PA Department of State by calling toll free, within Pennsylvania, 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.
