Simplify Your Life – to Age in Place

Friday, December 13, 2019 10 a.m.

Do you want to remain in your current home as you age?  You have your legal paperwork, will, power of attorney and advanced directives. But what about your plan on how you will age in your home? The paperwork is just the beginning. Aging in place requires advanced planning. Why? Because there is a difference between wanting to stay and being able to stay at home.

Bode Hennegan will present workshop outlining simple steps so that you are able to age in place. The workshop will include:

  • Assessing Your Home
  • Organizing Your Papers
  • Creating Your Plan for Living

Bode Hennegan, founder and president of Life Managers and Associates, is a passionate advocate for independent aging and seasoned community volunteer.  Bode holds an MBA from St. Joseph’s University and a B.S. in management from Philadelphia University.  She is a member of the National Aging in Place Council, American Association of Daily Money Managers, Philadelphia Financial Planners Association, and Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.

The program will be at the First Presbyterian Church: 201 So. 21st Street, Philadelphia, PA  19103; MacColl Room. The entrance is on 21st Street. There is an elevator for handicapped accessibility. Please let us know in advance if this is needed.

This program is free for Penn’s Village members and volunteers. Other guests are welcome to attend three programs before joining and/or volunteering. A $10 donation to Penn’s Village from each guest per program will be most appreciated. Please RSVP to info@pennsvillage.org or (215) 925 7333.  If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation to make room for others.
