A Tour of Paul Sarita's Furniture Work Shop (P)

Furniture Workshop Tour and Demonstration

With Penn’s Village Member Paul Starita

Wednesday, May 15 at 1:00 p.m.

1901 Washington Ave.

(Studio entrance is just north at the corner of League and 19th)

Attendance is limited to 6 participants.

There is nothing like a beautifully crafted piece of furniture – the unique combination of art and function.  Penn’s Village member Paul Starita has been making and repairing furniture since he retired more than 15 years ago.  Paul will be opening up his studio to fellow members for a tour and demonstration of his work, sharing how he goes about designing and creating new pieces and restoring old ones.

Paul Starita earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Management from New York Polytechnic, now part of NYU. After graduating, he worked for three years in Brazil, then as an Engineer and Technology Executive on Wall Street, and then to Canada, where he spent the bulk of his career in the financial and tech sectors.  He and his wife, artist Carolyn Prue, moved to Philadelphia several years ago to be closer to family.

You can view Paul's work on his website: Furniture by Paul Sarita
