It's the Last Week of Our Valentine's Day/Winter Fundraiser!

If you've been meaning to make a contribution to the Penn's Village annual Valentine's Day/Winter fundraiser, now's the time! We'd be grateful if you'd donate to support our programs and services.  Member fees make up about half of our budget, leaving the rest to the generosity of members and friends like you!  And if you are a chocolate lover in addition to a Penn's Village lover, the first 15 people who give $250 or more will receive a box of tantalizing Godiva chocolates!  Click here to make your donation today!

St. Joseph's University Looking for Volunteers for Falls Assessment Study

St. Joseph's University has an ongoing IRB-approved study on fall risk for middle-aged and older adults and is looking for participants.

The study will test participants' balance while walking on a treadmill. The purpose of this study is to analyze balance responses, such as length of step and trunk movement. They are also interested in knowing what personal factors relate to better performance.  Those who meet the criteria and choose to participate will receive $40 for two visits, and will be given the results of their physical therapy tests (walking, balance tests etc.), so that they will learn more about their fall risk and physical abilities.

You can access information on the study here:  SJU Falls Assessment Study.

Season Finale of Keyboard Conversations at the Kimmel Center

Jeffrey Siegel returns to the Kimmel Center to present "The Romantic Music of Chopin and Liszt," on Monday night, April 1, at 7:30. This season's finale features legendary piano works by two of the 19th century's most popular composers. Experience an evening of gorgeous melodies and exhilarating virtuosity that will linger in your memory long after the last note has been played.  For more information and ticket purchase, click here.
