Real Philly History, Real Fast: The Backstory

With Local Historian Jim Murphy

Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm

In-Person in the MacColl Room,

First Presbyterian Church, 201 S. 21st St.

Come hear the secret stories about Philadelphia heroes and historic sites that few people knew … until the author uncovered them during 11 years of research. It’s a history buffet you’ll remember and enjoy long after you leave the room. And it will make you far more familiar with Philadelphia leaders and landmarks.

Jim Murphy is a long-time copywriter, history-lover, former magazine editor for the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, a certified member of the Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides, and author of “Real Philadelphia History, Real Fast,” a popular book published by Temple University Press in 2021.
