Dr. Ala Stanford's Memoir Ready for Pre-Order

Dr. Ala Stanford, a national leader in health equity based in Philadelphia, is publishing a new memoir, "Take Care of Them Like My Own:  Faith, Fortitude, and a Surgeon's Fight for Health Justice" in August.  Dr. Stanford recently talked about her experience advocating for underserved populations during the Covid-19 pandemic in a presentation for the Penn's Village community.

The book will be available at bookstores everywhere, but you can help Dr. Stanford in the world of Amazon by pre-ordering on the site if it's one you use.  Pre-orders are a way that Amazon judges how much to publicize current work.  If you are so inclined, you can order the book here:  https://www.amazon.com/Take-Care-Them-Like-Own/dp/1668004062.

The No Name Pops Features Tribute to Peter Nero

Our friends at The No Name Pops graciously contributed two sets of tickets to our Town Hall last month for "Timeless - A Tribute to the Legacy of Peter Nero." Now they are inviting all of us to attend this unforgettable musical experience that honors the remarkable career of the late Peter Nero, a champion of pops orchestral music in Philadelphia for many decades.

The concert will take place on April 20th, at 3:00 pm, at Verizon Hall, Kimmel Center. Tickets are available here:
