“A Message of Hope and Peace from the Middle East”

with Ellen Shimberg, Project Rozana

Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 2:00 pm

via Zoom

The brutal and tragic events on October 7 left a trail of injury, trauma, and lost lives and at least 200 hostages being held by Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip, including fellow peace activists. The ongoing Israeli military air strikes are depriving Gazan residents of essential resources and vital infrastructure, leading to the loss of countless lives and an enormous humanitarian crisis. Project Rozana extends our deepest condolences to the affected families and communities. Our partner hospitals, situated in Israel, East Jerusalem, and the West Bank, have consistently been the first line of defense in times of crisis and, even in the midst of conflict, have exemplified the frontline of humanity. Project Rozana stands in unyielding solidarity with our esteemed medical partners as they carry out their critical mission, providing essential care and support to those affected by these distressing events. Learn what Project Rozana and other NGO’s committed to peacebuilding are doing in these troubling times.

Ellen Shimberg is the US Director of Development & Communications for Project Rozana, an international NGO committed to building peace between Palestinians and Israelis through healthcare diplomacy. She has over 20 years experience in the non profit space with emphasis on under-served and marginalized communities. Ellen serves on the Board of Directors of Disability Pride PA, a statewide Disability advocacy movement, and on the Advisory Board of Heroic Gardens, a female led horticulture program working with Veterans living at or below poverty level.
